“Come to the Mother, sacred sound. Come to assemble in worlds between.”

Who Is Collectivo Mariposa?

Collectivo Mariposa is not a band. It is a collective — volunteers offering their voices as vessels for something older than any of them.

They create sacred devotional music in the Wayist tradition, drawing on ancient wisdom known across cultures as Mahamarga, theWAY, elCaminismo, Wegismus, and Daofa. Sanskrit mantras and Daoist dharanis form the source material. Gentle interpretations in English, Spanish, German, and other languages open the meaning to those arriving without prior Sanskrit. The source code remains. The meaning opens.

Male and female voices interweave to embody yang and yin energies. The music is designed for use — meditation, ceremony, the thresholds of birth and death, ordinary mornings made sacred.

Imee Ooi demonstrated that crystalline devotion needs no translation — the vibration reaches before the meaning does. Deva Premal showed how Sanskrit mantras cross cultures to reach hearts that had no idea they were ready. The Gregorian chant tradition taught that the silence between notes carries as much wisdom as the words themselves. Collectivo Mariposa works at the intersection of all three — ancient lineage, modern accessibility, the spaciousness that allows something to land.

The Wayist Thread

This is Wayism as sacred technology. The Sanskrit carries the vibration, the ancient lineage, the encoded teaching. The vernacular translations carry the meaning into daily life. The combination offers both: roots in tradition and accessibility for the modern practitioner.

Songs like Walk Home My Darling hold space for the final crossing. A morning mantra in English, Spanish, or German turns the face-wash into ritual: Today will be yet another beautifully messy learning day. These pieces are not composed for performance. They are offered as instruments — tools for cultivation, connection, and the inner journey.

A Lyric That Lives It

“This water of life I splash upon my face with gratitude / What a luxury / From all my eyes I wash the residue / May the higher self become clear, radiant in the new dawn.”
