The Spanish rendering brings a natural intimacy to this morning prayer. “Hermosamente desordenado de aprendizaje” (beautifully messy with learning) embraces the day ahead without pretence. “Mírame levantarme otra vez” (watch me rise again) and “Muéstrame dónde me equivoqué” (show me where I went wrong) carry the soul-in-school teaching with the directness of a child talking to a parent — which is exactly what this prayer is.

The closing shift from “Señor” to “Madre” (from Lord to Mother) acknowledges both divine parents in the most intimate moment of the day.
