Well my brother prays for sunshine
When the island needs good rain
He begs the sky to fix his life
And wash away the pain
But me I talk to coral growing underneath the sea
And my Tara just smiles when I stumble
Says “Rise up, you’re walking free”
I see my cousin talking to that AI thing all day long
Says that thing ain’t got no soul
But I know that he’s wrong
From the mangrove roots to that mongoose running free
All got that fire of the Source
Same as you and same as me
I’m walking this Wayist path
Don’t have the map in hand
I find my riches in the things
That others don’t understand
No prayers to change the weather
No answers carved in stone
Just me and my Tara dancing
But I’m never alone
Yeah, I’m walking the natural life
And family, I’m walking it proud
Some people say I’m crazy, finding truth in what’s unsure
Looking for the wisdom living underneath and all around
They want their answers simple, all wrapped up neat and sound
But me, I love the mystery, the questions that endure
‘Cause suffering ain’t useless
And awe is something pure
They say I’m poor and simple, living small without much gold
But I got conversations with the cassava that I’ve grown
My Tara watches patient while I learn what I’ve been shown
He doesn’t try to fix me
Just lets the story unfold
Who you talking to?
Talking to the baobab
What they telling you?
Telling me to listen close
What you listening for?
Listening for that ancient truth
Where you gonna find it?
Find it in the roots!
I’m walking this Wayist path
Ain’t got life figured out
I find my treasure in the things
That others do without
No prayers to tame the ocean
No answers set in stone
Just me and my Tara moving
To a rhythm of our own
Yeah, I’m walking this uncertain life
This beautiful mysterious blessed life
And family, I’m walking it proud
Just walking (walk on, walk on)
Talking to the mangrove roots
Making friends with every creature
And my Tara’s still smiling
One love, one Tara, walking on
